District heating scheme to provide a zero carbon source of heating and hot water for 8000 plus new homes at Cranbrook and Skypark Business Park with private wire electricity supply, potentially saving 13,000 tonnes of CO2 a year. District heating networks also facilitate greater local energy resilience, the potential to capture and use waste heat, and provide an easier transition to fossil fuel free technologies.
