2030 Cycling and Walking Network Plan

Devon County Council lacks a 15 year plan for what a dense, cycling and walking network should look like in the city of Exeter.

Volunteers in the Exeter Cycling Campaign, with their intimate knowledge of the highway network, have, through a series of workshops and on-line working built a example 2030 Network Plan.

This is to demonstrate to Officers and Councillors what a dense cycling network for the city looks like. This has been used to challenge Officers and Councillors to create and approve an official fifteen year plan.

“Devon County Council does not yet have a plan for building a dense cycling & walking network in the city of Exeter.   Exeter Cycling Campaign volunteers have worked together to pull build an example of what such a plan might look like.

The Exeter Cycling Campaign is calling on Devon County and Exeter City to plan and build a  comprehensive, convenient and connected network of cycle paths for people of all ages and abilities to choose cycling as the safe, natural choice for everyday journeys.”
