Exeter City Futures is excited to announce the launch of its crowdfunding initiative on Spacehive – a civic crowdfunding portal, where anyone with project ideas that address the city challenges around congestion and energy, can share their idea, build support from the community, connect with a like-minded crowd and pitch for funding.
Spacehive enables project owners to share their project and market it to their local crowd, to help raise funds for the delivery of the project.
Interested in creating a car-free Sunday down your street? Think having a community cycling storage on your road will help incentivise families to cycle more? Want to make your community centre more energy efficient?
These are the kinds of ideas we are looking for and which could find support through the movement. Exeter City Futures will provide you with the support you need to make your idea real and you could even receive a cash boost to help get it off the ground.
Spacehive will be delivering a free workshop on Thursday 19th October, 5.30 – 7pm, which will help anyone in starting a project. The session will cover; how to formulate project ideas, plan and promote your project campaign, pitch for funds, and bring your project to life.
All projects are required to meet the approval of the project delivery manager to make sure they are eligible for our movement and to ensure that they have the best chance of success.
Projects that meet with our criteria will be given additional support as they set up and run their campaign through regular meetings and workshops.
Please sign up to our eventbrite page to register your interest for the workshop.
