Hosted by Exeter City Futures, we want to bring together sustainable, environmental and net zero citizen-led projects and initiatives from across Exeter.
This Connect event is an opportunity for community groups, organisations and local businesses to share the net zero projects that have evolved and emerged over the last few years.
We are interested to hear from Exeter’s individuals, community groups, neighbourhood associations, local businesses who have, with resilience, innovation and effort, created positive action and generated citizen and volunteer-led responses to carbon reduction in Exeter.
At our Connect events we bring like-minded people together in an informal setting. We would love to hear from projects and initiatives in Exeter which explore climate and environmental issues:
- Communities co-creating environmental projects in local neighbourhoods or across different city wards
- Projects addressing eco anxiety and wellbeing in Exeter
- Businesses declaring a climate emergency and working towards carbon-neutral aims
- Communities and young people working together on eco initiatives
- Academic researchers building community collaborations developing environmental responses.
If you are building citizen-led and collaborative responses to our net zero challenges then this is a great opportunity to share best practice and network, gain support and potentially develop new project ideas and future collaborations. Even if you aren’t currently involved in a net zero project, you are still very welcome to join us to come and find out what is happening in Exeter and support projects that will help Exeter become carbon neutral by 2030.
