On Sunday July 7th, Magdalen Rd in St Leonards was closed to hold Exeter’s first ever Car-Free “Wellfest- a Community Fun and Wellbeing Day”.
St Leonards Neighbourhood Association, Barnfield Hill Surgery and St Leonards Practice Patient Participation Groups (PPGs), in conjuction with the RDE Hospital Trust Exeter Community Team and Wellbeing Exeter, with support from Exeter City Futures facilitated a car-free, fun and wellbeing event.
This was a car-free, relaxed cafe-culture community event; singing, music, dancing, games, family fun and talent stage. Art and nature activities. Wellbeing talks, interactive learning activities and active transportation related organisations were in attendance as well as activities (e.g. Co-bikes with their brand new e-bikes!).
The road was closed and set up to provide a relaxed café-culture space with music, art, and dance as well as games, and activities.
