Liz O’Driscoll, Head of Innovation at Exeter City Futures, will be giving a lunchtime lecture at Future Cities Catapult on 22nd February. The lecture ‘A Venture Based Approach to Whole City Change’ will look at how sustainable growth can be realised by adopting competition models of procurement and joining up and unlocking cash flows and capital to create innovation aligned to local needs.
Exeter City Futures is based on the philosophy that big steps towards building better cities can be achieved through the use of analytics. Creating an ‘analytical city’ is about giving all of us the courage to ask big questions about the city – and life – we want, and unleashing the change necessary to make that happen.
In the lecture Liz will discuss how the Exeter City Futures team are analysing how Exeter works and are supporting, validating and scaling innovative, data-led solutions to achieve our goals for Exeter.
