ECF CIC Board Meeting Minutes
19.12.2018
Exeter City Futures is an independent Community Interest Company or ‘CIC’ – a special type of company which exists to benefit the community rather than private individuals. Our board is made up of directors from some of the largest empoyers across the city: Devon County Council, Exeter City Council, Royal Devon & Exeter NHS Trust Foundation, University of Exeter, Exeter College, and Global City Futures. This CIC board is in place to ensure that we operate within the rules of a CIC and deliver tangible outcomes for Exeter’s residents.
We do not represent the city leadership or businesses that are part of our CIC board, all key city decisions still go via the proper and appropriate public scrutiny processes. Our purpose through collaboration with Exeter City Futures’ CIC board is to provide a space to facilitate bold and aspirational conversations, work together to tackle shared goals and support the delivery of the Net Zero Exeter 2030 Plan. These ideas and aspirations can then be explored and taken through official council/internal processes.
Our Board is committed to being completely transparent and open about the things that are discussed at board meetings, and ensuring that Exeter City Futures continues to work towards the benefit of Exeter and all its people. As part of this effort please see our board meeting minutes below.
